'Mindfulness' with Mike Kewley takes place on on 14 September 2017 at The Claremont Hotel in Douglas. DQ Advocates is delighted to be sponsoring the Isle of Man Business Network’s next event on Mindfulness

DQ is an Island business that recognises the importance of well-being for the workforce. It places a strong emphasis on the health of its staff both in and outside the office. DQ has a number of well-being initiatives designed to promote the health of employees both physically and mentally including ensuring weekly deliveries of fresh fruit and healthy snacks, on-site massage treatments, resources that allow flexible working, regular “Feel Good Friday” gatherings and more.

Leanne McKeown, one of DQ's directors and head of the employment team,  commented:

"DQ Advocates are delighted to be sponsoring the Isle of Man Business Network’s event on Mindfulness. DQ has already taken significant steps in creating a work-place for its employees that promotes and prioritises their health. We are currently in the process of taking this even further with the establishment of a “DQ Well-being Team” including members of staff who are passionate about making DQ an even more healthy and happy place to work. In particular we recognise that our employees’ mental health and resilience is just as important as their physical health. Mindfulness is a useful technique which can assist employees in dealing with the stresses of the job and balancing those with the demands of everyday life. A few of our employees have already attended sessions on Mindfulness with Mike Kewley and DQ therefore welcomed the opportunity to sponsor the IOMBN’s event which will enable more of the Island’s workforce to discover the benefits of Mindfulness and how it can be incorporated into their lives."
